Family photography is my favorite work I do, and it is not close.
Most families show up a little nervous. There is often a look that says let us just get this over with. That is normal — almost nobody feels natural in front of a camera at first, and getting past that is my job in the first few minutes.
Once we do, something shifts. We start talking, shoulders drop, and the family stops posing and starts being a family. That is when the real pictures show up.
It comes from the smallest gestures. A son puts his arm around his dad — nothing staged about it — and you can watch that father’s chest swell with pride. A mother and her son share a look that says everything. A father glances at his daughter and you can see exactly what he thinks of her. Those moments come out in ordinary conversation while I am working, and my job is to freeze them before they pass in time.
That is the photograph a family will still be looking at in thirty years. Every time they see it, they get that day back.
I also think people do not hear enough good about themselves. During a session I will tell you when you look incredible, because it is true and because most folks do not get told that in everyday life. Families arrive braced for a chore and leave having genuinely enjoyed the afternoon. That part I am proud of.

Family sessions start at $250 for a half-hour and run to $850 for ninety minutes across multiple locations. Every package includes professionally edited photos, web-ready downloads and an online gallery, delivered in 5–7 business days.
